My "Walking Through Autism" blog encompasses thoughts from years of experience as a caregiver for my disabled daughter having a dual diagnosis of severe autism and severe intellectual disability.
Walking through autism is a roller-coaster journey through a labyrinth of steps laden with challenges. The experience is illuminated by moments of profound connection and understanding of both the recipient and the caregiver's authentic self.
It's a path of constant testing of resilience while navigating spontaneous chaos unseen in the private and misunderstood and overlooked in public.
Through years of intimate experience, my intention is to unveil the raw emotions from relentless battles and the remarkable victories that define the caregiver's role.
I am called to inspire those who walk a similar path, to step into their higher self, full of power and strength to maintain never ending love, peace, patience, and unwavering dedication.
